Google working on new AI product Genesis for writing latest news

Google is experimenting with a new artificial intelligence (AI) product codenamed ‘Genesis.’ This AI technology will be able to generate news stories by analyzing current events and pertinent data. This new innovation was given by Google to news institutions such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and News Corp, which owns The Wall Street Journal.

What exactly is Genesis AI?  

The Genesis AI, which is effectively a writing assistant, attempts to simplify and streamline journalistic processes, giving reporters more time to focus on more complex jobs. Google sees this technology as a responsible first step in steering the publishing business away from the risks of generative AI. 

According to The New York Times, some executives present during Google’s pitch expressed concern about the potential consequences. They stressed the need of human work in generating factual and artistic news stories, while also voicing worries about how an AI tool might influence journalistic integrity. 

Google has yet to make an official remark about Genesis AI.
