Flipkart enters audiobooks field partnering with Pocket FM
Through a collaboration with audio streaming service Pocket FM, e-commerce company Flipkart has entered the audiobooks market.
According to an announcement on Tuesday, Flipkart would make exclusive and authorized audiobooks available to its more than 400 million customers through Pocket FM as a result of the partnership.
According to estimates, 25 million people in India listen to audiobooks.

Audiobooks have gained popularity during the pandemic, according to Kanchan Mishra, Business Head for FMCG, Home, and General Merchandise at Flipkart. The partnership will enable authors to publish their work on its platform using audiobooks.
He continued, “It will also benefit the e-commerce company as it continues to satisfy the demand for localized content from its users.”
According to the press statement, Pocket FM, which started its audiobook platform formally in March of this year, sells more than 1,20,000 audiobooks each month.
