Fidelity International, a renowned global investing and retirement savings firm, announced on Wednesday that it is expanding its footprint in India by opening a Bengaluru office.
According to the company’s press release, the new Bengaluru office will complement its current Gurugram and Mumbai offices, bolstering Fidelity International’s strategic presence in the country and providing access to a new pool of skilled talent to support the evolving needs of our business and clients.
The new Fidelity International office will be located in Manyata Embassy Business Park on the Outer Ring Road and will be 25,000 square feet (2,322 square meters) in size. It is planned to seat 700 to 800 workers in a dynamic (hybrid) working environment, in accordance with the company’s dynamic working policy.
The company has begun hiring for the new Bengaluru office and will carefully grow its local footprint for talents and competencies across business activities over the next year and a half. It began inviting new personnel in Bengaluru in July and plans to name a Bengaluru office head soon, most likely an internal recruitment, to better integrate the Fidelity International ethos and ensure continuity in the new office.
“The new Bengaluru office will offer talent the same opportunities, culture, and workplace ethos found throughout Fidelity International.” We have a distinct cultural core that people adore and evaluate well on external platforms; we call it ‘Feel Fidelity,'” said Upasna Nischal, HR Head India at Fidelity International.
“Almost every one of our employees will have their own inspiring ‘Feel Fidelity’ story, and I’m excited that by expanding our presence in India, we will not only be able to engage with a larger talent pool, but also bring this unique culture to Bengaluru,” she added.
India is critical to Fidelity International’s global operations and is home to a variety of capabilities such as technology that its clients experience directly or indirectly; operations; research support; client servicing; cyber security; and shared services across general counsel, finance, and human resources.
“We’ve been in India for over 20 years, and from humble beginnings, we now employ over 4,500 people here.” The new Bengaluru office strengthens the company’s trust in its strategic presence in the country and the talent we have here. We will carefully grow our presence in Bengaluru over the coming months, and we anticipate to locate some outstanding talent here to complement our Gurugram and Mumbai offices.
