NTPC donates Rs 3.25 cr under CSR activity towards healthcare

NTPC donates Rs 3.25 cr under CSR activity towards healthcare – National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC) Simhadri Super Thermal Station has donated Rs. 3.25 crore under its CSR initiative towards healthcare.

For purchase of 108 ambulances Rs. 1.25 Cr. and Rs 2 crore was donated to King George Hospital for construction of a CSR building and procurement of varied equipment.

Collector V. Vinay Chand, Andhra Medical College principal P.V. Sudhakar, District Industries Centre head Ramalingeswara Raju, NTPC Simhadri Chief head V. Sudarshan Babu and King George Hospital superintendent G. Arjuna were present at the cheque presentation ceremony.

NTPC Corporate CSR Department has released Rs. 2 crores for construction of a CSR Building and procurement of kit for King George Hospital. The building is supposed for the Oncology Ward and can be beneficial to patients visiting from neighboring districts.

Under its CSR allocation for 2019-20, Rs. 1.25 crore is going to be spent on the purchase of ambulances under 108 services as requested by the Collector for the replacement of aging vehicles.
