India Inc spends Rs 1,600 cr in CSR to fight Covid second wave – The Indian business has spent over Rs 1,600 crore on fighting the second wave of Covid-19 in the financial year 2020-21, an investigation of 350 public-recorded organizations uncovered.
The review, which was directed by CSR data and effect knowledge entry CSRBOX, showed that Indian organizations had launched more than 750 corporate social obligation drives in light of the subsequent wave, and that 35% of these intercessions were executed in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh.
Around 57% of the CSR drives to battle the second wave of Covid-19 were designated at direct recipients, for example Coronavirus affected individuals. More than 400 of the corporate CSR drives to battle the second wave of diseases were pointed toward acquiring medical supplies, ventilators, and health gear like PPE kits.
