Coca-Cola India and Indo Dutch Horticulture Technologies on Unnati Apple Project

Coca-Cola India and Indo Dutch Horticulture Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (IDHT) celebrated 5 years of fruitful collaboration on Project Unnati Apple today. Coca-Cola India and Indo Dutch Horticulture Technologies are honoring the farmers who have demonstrated remarkable devotion and hard effort toward the achievement of this program on this occasion.

Project Unnati Apple was launched in 2018 with the goal of improving farmers’ livelihoods by empowering and teaching them on enhanced and sophisticated agricultural practices. Over the last five years, Project Unnati Apple has made great progress toward its goals. The initiative has supplied farmers with improved planting materials, GAP training, and access to contemporary infrastructure, resulting in a significant increase in apple output and sales.

“Uttarakhand’s cherished treasure, Apple, symbolizes the state’s livelihood, prosperity, and growth,” remarked Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. Modern agri-tech efforts like as Coca-Cola India and Indo-Dutch Horticulture Technologies’ Project Unnati Apple have shown to be very productive and lucrative in increasing production. It has also resulted in the socioeconomic upliftment of our hardworking farmers. Adoption of these scientific approaches also fosters community self-reliance, which contributes to the advancement of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat.'”

“I started apple farming through Ultra High-Density Plantation technologies, and volunteers working for the initiative visited me and guided me through the process,” said Poonam Gaur, an apple farmer in Uttarakhand. When my children introduced me to the Unnati project, it became a glimmer of hope in my life. “The project has given me confidence.”

The initiative has produced job possibilities in the region and has contributed to the area’s general economic growth.
