Central Public Sector Enterprises – According to official data, the Union government has established 96 CPSEs since 2014, with the majority of them headquartered in Delhi. In fact, Delhi is home to 69 of these Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs). The list includes Air India Assets Holding Ltd (AIAHL), which was formed in 2018 as a preliminary to Air India’s sale to hold the former national carrier’s non-core assets and liabilities. In addition, the list includes BSNL Tower Corporation (2018), Concor Last Mile Logistics Ltd (2020), ITPO Services (2020), and India International Convention and Exhibition Centre Ltd (2020). NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (2020), NSIC Venture Capital Fund Ltd (2020), Rajgarh Transmission Ltd (2020), and Sagarmala Development Company Ltd (2016) have also been established in the region. 
 
While Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh each registered three CPSEs, Jharkhand registered four, including Deoghar Airport Ltd. Karnataka has five CPSEs, Kerala has three, Maharashtra, Odisha, and West Bengal each have two, while Punjab and Telangana each have one. As of March 31, 2020, there were 256 functioning CPSEs, according to the statistics. There are 171 profitable businesses and 84 loss-making businesses among them.
