E-model Apaches for Indian Army – Boeing has begun production of Apache helicopters for the Indian Army in Mesa, Arizona. The business will deliver six AH-64E Apaches to meet the Indian Army’s requirements.
Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL) delivered the Indian Army’s first AH-64 Apache fuselage earlier this year from its sophisticated facility in Hyderabad, India.
“We are pleased to reach yet another significant milestone, highlighting Boeing’s unwavering commitment to supporting India’s defense capabilities,” said Salil Gupte, president of Boeing India. “The AH-64’s advanced technology and proven performance will improve the Indian Army’s operational readiness and defense capabilities.”
E-model Apaches for Indian Army
Boeing delivered 22 E-model Apaches to the Indian Air Force in 2020 and secured a contract to construct six AH-64Es for the Indian Army. The Apaches will be delivered to the Indian Army in 2024.
“The AH-64E continues to be the world’s premier attack helicopter,” said Christina Upah, vice president of Attack Helicopter Programs and senior executive at Boeing Mesa. “The AH-64 provides customers with unparalleled lethality and survivability, and we are thrilled to be able to provide those capabilities to the Indian Army.”
