Celebrating 67th Karnataka Rajyotsava

On November 25, 2022, the 67th Karnataka Rajyotsava was observed in Bengaluru at the BHEL Electronics Division. The vibrant event was hosted by Smt. Bani Varma, Executive Director (EDN), and was co-hosted by BHEL Management and BHEEA under the direction of BHEL Kannada Hitarakshana Samithi.

Hon. President of the Kannada Hitarakshana Samithi, Shri Sa.Ra. Govindu, attended the event. On the dais with them were Shri Joy Alexander, AGM-HR, Shri S Magendran, BHEEA General Secretary, and Shri L Shivakumar, President, Kannada Hitarakshana Samithi. Dr. Mallika Ghanti, a former vice chancellor of Hampi Kannada University, Dr. H.S. Venkateshamurthy, a well-known laureate, and Shri Sadhu Kokila, a well-known actor, director, and music director in the film industry, were honored for distinguished services in their respective fields on this occasion.

On this occasion, colleagues with remarkable talents and workers who will be retiring in the upcoming year were also honored. Winners of numerous competitions held as part of the event received prizes.

In her presidential address, Smt. Bani Varma expressed her joy at being a part of this festive occasion and informed the crowd of the unit’s major accomplishments. She urged coworkers to work together to accomplish the organization’s objectives. Shri Joy Alexander conducted an exhibition and sale of Kannada books earlier in the day. The company made up of employee artists performed a dance drama as well as the comedy play “Kitapati-Devre Gati,” which was directed by Shri E. Kiran.
