BEL and NITK Surathkal ink MoU

Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK Surathkal) for research and development cooperation in the development of emerging technologies and technical solutions for both defence and non-defence applications.

The MoU aims to leverage BEL and NITK Surathkal’s complementary strengths and capabilities while facilitating the indigenization of products and solutions in line with the government’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.

The National Institute of Technology Surathkal, formerly known as Karnataka Regional Engineering College, is a public technical university. The institute is well-known for its research and development capabilities in engineering, basic sciences, and management.
