BEL gives food vessels to Akshaya Patra Foundation

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence PSU, handed over 825 food distribution vessels to Akshaya Patra Foundation for the NGO’s Bellary kitchen on Thursday as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.

BEL has previously donated food distribution vans with essential food containers to Akshay Patra Foundation’s Mid-day Meal scheme in Mangalgiri, Andhra Pradesh, and Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh.

In terms of promoting societal development, BEL has been a forerunner among Defense PSUs. Through CSR, BEL as a corporate entity actively participates in the social and economic development of the communities in which it operates. BEL’s CSR initiatives promote inclusive growth, holistic community development, and the empowerment of marginalised and underprivileged groups.
