Balco’s mobile health unit for the needy

April 27 – Balco’s mobile health unit – Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO) treated about 2000 patients in March-April 2022 through a health unit run under the ‘Rosh Aapke Dwar’ campaign of the Community Development Program. Hemoglobin, diabetes and hypertension tests were done along with common diseases at the health camps. Home access medical facilities were provided to the citizens who were unable to reach the camps. The benefited citizens said that they are being given free consultation and medicines in the camps. There has been awareness among citizens about health and hygiene. People described BALCO’s initiative as commendable.

BALCO has operated a health unit run in collaboration with HelpAge India. About 6000 citizens of 48 rural and urban areas of Korba have been benefited from this project. Health camps are held at three pre-designated places every day. MBBS doctors as well as other trained medical personnel are serving in the camps.
