BALCO bags Arogya World Healthy Workplace Award
Balconagar; 27th December, 2022: Arogya World Healthy Workplace Award – Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), India’s iconic Aluminium producer and a subsidiary of Vedanta Aluminium, has been conferred with ‘Gold Award’ presented by Arogya World in category of ‘Healthy Workplaces Awards – 2022’. Arogya World is a global health non-profit organization working towards prevention of Non-Communicable Diseases, thus, educating and empowering people to take definitive steps towards leading healthier lives. BALCO is playing an instrumental role in making healthcare accessible to all through its 75-bed super specialty BALCO Hospital in Balconagar, Korba. Arogya World Healthy Workplace Award
Apart from this, BALCO has rolled out a variety of initiatives and programs like providing doorstep healthcare services in the vicinity through its Mobile Health Unit (MHU). Operated in association with Help Age India, the MHU is serving and providing primary healthcare services to around 45 communities of Balconagar and nearby rural areas. Since its inception around 15000 residents have been benefitted from the project. Another such project is the Rural Health Post, which is benefiting around 3000 residents annually by providing them with best healthcare facilities in their locality.
