Mr. Vinod Agarwal, President of SIAM, stated during the opening of the Surakshit Safar Pavilion that “SIAM and the Indian car industry has been committed to improving the road safety scenario in the country. Since a lot of work has been put into vehicle engineering, Indian cars are now up to par with international norms. Now, attention must also be paid to the other E’s, with education playing a crucial role in changing road users’ behaviour, which can significantly lower the number of accidents. One such initiative that aims to raise public awareness about safety is the Surakshit Safar Pavilion. SIAM now plans to replicate this initiative across the entire nation in light of the event’s success.
