Ashneer Grover of BharatPe takes a voluntary leave of absence until March end

Ashneer Grover of BharatPe is to be on leave until 31 March 

Ashneer Grover of BharatPe Asher Grover, co-founder and managing director of Bharat, asserted on Wednesday that he will be carrying an automatic exit of absence from the firm until the end of March. 
 
“For the time being, the Board has approved Ashneer’s decision, which we believe is in the best interests of the company, our employees and investors, as well as the millions of merchants,” says the statement. 
 
Meanwhile, the company will be led by CEO Suhail Sameer, according to the announcement. 
 
Grover later tweeted his leave of absence from his personal account, stating that he will return on April 1, 2022. 
 
I intend to take a leave of absence from BharatPe until the end of March. On or before April 1, 2022, I will return “Parts of the letter he uploaded on Twitter read as follows: 
 
“I’ve been working relentlessly for the past four years to build BharatPe… I’m planning on taking a break from BharatPe till the end of March.

Grover’s abrupt departure comes after a squabble between Grover and his wife, as well as Kotak Mahindra Bank. He allegedly used disrespectful words against Kotak Group employees, according to the controversy. 
 
According to a viral audio tape, Grover allegedly verbally attacked a bank staffer after failing to receive a shared allotment in Nykaa’s initial public offering. 
 
Grover and Shashvat Nakrani co-founded BharatPe in 2018. The company has facilitated the disbursement of loans worth over Rs 3,000 crore to its merchants since its establishment.
