It also stated that it would introduce 5,000 independent artists to the platform over the course of the following year.

According to Airtel, “almost 30% of the top songs on all music platforms in India now are by independent artists, and these independent artists are all set to fuel the growth of the industry by 50% by 2025.”

CEO of Airtel Digital, Adarsh Nair, “The music creator economy is still in its infancy, but it is expected to grow rapidly. We are creating a platform with Wynk Studio that enables young musicians to simultaneously follow their love and make money.”

How Wynk Studio intends to assist an artist is as follows:

Discovery – Giving musicians the chance to release their songs on Wynk as well as other music outlets. On the Wynk app, music enthusiasts may save, download, and even follow their favourite artists.

Through Airtel’s distribution capabilities, monetization, it assists up-and-coming musicians in setting records for streams within tight deadlines. This might guarantee artists regular income.

Transparency & Data Analytics – By utilizing Airtel’s data science capabilities, musicians can now make music that is liked by their fans and hence more likely to be successful economically.
