33 Chhattisgarh National Highway project initiated

Chhattisgarh National Highway project – Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, today inaugurated and lay the foundation stone for 33 National Highway projects worth Rs 9,240 crore in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. 
 
He claimed that these road developments will improve Chhattisgarh’s connectivity with the states of Odisha, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh. 
 
The Minister stated that a smooth road network will be available to connect the state’s backward sections with its developed areas, and that cultural and tourist attractions like Mungeli and Kabirdham will be easily accessible. 
 
He stated that road traffic will be smooth in the Anuppur-Ambikapur Coal Heavy Rail Traffic Zone, and that heavy and large vehicles will have easier access. These initiatives, according to the Minister, will facilitate access to corporate centres, commercial vehicle centres, mines, and proposed thermal power plants.
